Research Interests:
Mr. Huan-Yu Lin worked for Taipei Botanical Garden for several years and devoted his expertise in the ex-situ conservation of threatened species in Taiwan. His research interests include: 1) application of aerial photography and GIS in ecological research and forestry management; 2) plant biodiversity hotspots and area of endemism in Taiwan. In recent years, he established a large database to integrate distribution data from herbaria and field survey projects. He applied these materials to reveal the distribution patterns of vascular plant diversity and their implications for conservation in Taiwan.
